Resumeha works without an account. Until you sign in, your resume is stored only in your own browser and does not stay on our server.

What we keep

Resumes and cover letters: if you create an account, they are stored on our server so you can use them on other devices. A job ad you paste into the ATS check is stored with that resume.

Your account: name, email or mobile number, and your password (only as a one-way hash).

PDF downloads: to make the file, the resume is kept on the server for at most 2 minutes and then deleted, also when you are not signed in.

Access by the site’s admin: resumes stored on the server (only when you are signed in) are looked at by the site’s admin only for support, fixing problems and improving the quality of resumes and PDFs, and for that the PDF may be rebuilt; that file is not kept, and every viewing is logged. We do not show your resume to anyone or use it for anything else. A resume you make without signing in stays in your own browser and we never see it.

Public resume links: created only when you turn them on, and you can turn them off at any time. Cover letters and job ads are never shown on a public link. To count views, the visitor's IP address and browser are used only as a one-way code, for 30 minutes.

View statistics of public links: only daily totals are kept (views, unique visitors, QR code scans, phone or computer, the kind of source such as Telegram or Google, and PDF downloads). No IP address, browser details or anything identifying a visitor is stored. Only the resume's owner sees them, and they are deleted with the resume or the account.

Job titles without ready-made suggestions: if you type a job title we have no suggestions for yet, only the title itself is counted (with no link to you or your resume), so we can add suggestions for it.

Site visit statistics: while a page is open, it sends our server a small message every few seconds, so we know how many people are on the site and on which page or builder step (and whether they downloaded a PDF or made an account). With it we store the IP address and the approximate place it points to (country and city, from a database on our own server), so that one person's tabs or returns within two hours count as one visitor. It sets no cookie, and your browser type is not stored. If you are signed in, your account name is shown with it. Only the site’s admin sees these details (including the IP), and they are deleted after 7 days; what stays is the daily totals only (number of visitors, most viewed pages, kind of source, device and city or country), with no IP.

Job ad links: if you give a job ad link in the ATS check, our server reads that page to extract the ad text; only the extracted text is kept, for up to one hour.

My applications: your list of job applications (company, job title, ad link, how it was sent, status and notes) is stored in your browser and, if you are signed in, with your account. Resumes are sent from your own email or messenger account; we never send anything on your behalf.

Cookies

Only the cookies the site needs: your sign-in session, a security token against forged requests, and the language you chose. No advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.

Services we use

Email: for email verification, password resets and sign-in codes; and when you choose «send resume» by email, we send your resume (PDF or public link) and your message on your behalf to the address you enter, with your email for replies and a copy to you. We do not keep the text or the employer’s address; only today’s number of sendings is counted.

Text messages: if you sign in with a mobile number, it is passed to our SMS provider to send the code.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Deleting your data

You can delete any resume under "My resumes"; when you are signed in it is deleted from the server too.

Data kept only in your browser is removed when you clear this site's data in the browser.

You can delete your account yourself: menu → “Account” → “Delete account”. The account, its resumes, cover letters, job applications, public links and their statistics and linked sign-in services are deleted at once. If you cannot sign in any more, write to the address at the bottom of this page from the account’s email and we delete it within 30 days.

Security

The connection to the site is encrypted (HTTPS) and passwords are stored as one-way hashes.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top is updated.
