This template at a glance
- Two columns (a side column for skills and contact)
- Better sent directly than uploaded to ATS systems
- Photo optional, and you can move it
When to choose it
When you have many skills, languages and contact links and don't want your work history buried under them. The colored sidebar collects these short lists, and the main column is left for experience and education written as achievements. It balances best with 6 to 10 skills and two or three jobs. It is the template we use most across the job samples on this site, from accountant to developer, and you can change the sidebar color to any shade you like.
When to pick another one
If you upload the resume to a system that only reads text, the sidebar may be read separately or after everything else, so your skills end up far from your experience; ATS plain or Minimal is safer there. If you only have two or three skills, the sidebar looks empty and a one-column template fills the page better.
Every template lets you choose colors, fonts, photo and section order, and you can switch templates at any time without losing anything.
